Coin lockers at JR Sapporo Station cost 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 1,200 yen per use. There are no free places to use them.

The 600 yen coin-operated lockers are one size smaller than the 700 yen ones, and the 800 yen ones are one size larger than the 700 yen ones.
The 1,200 yen coin locker was huge enough to hold skis and snowboards. This is typical of Sapporo.
If paying in cash, coin lockers are paid for with 100 yen coins.
There are always money-changing machines at each location, so don’t worry.
However, only 1,000-yen bills are accepted, so if you do not have any 1,000-yen bills, go shopping at another store or withdraw 1,000 yen from a convenience store ATM.

Coin-operated lockers are located on the left and right side of the east ticket gate.
As of 2023, many are located on the east and west sides of the building, as the south side connecting passage is blocked off.

【West side】 Coin lockers near the west ticket gate
Exit the west ticket gate and coin lockers are located on the left and right sides of the building.
As of 2023, the south side connecting passage is blocked off, so most are located on the east and west sides.
Especially on the west side, there is a straight line by escalator from Sapporo Subway Station.
There are many in this area, but they are used by a very large number of people.
If you don’t get in early in the morning, they may be full after midnight.
The coin lockers in the alphabet accepted transportation IC cards and cash.

As of March 2023, the south connecting passageway at JR Sapporo Station is closed.
It is also inconvenient to move between the East and West ticket gates.

There is no baggage storage service at Sapporo Station.
In the past, luggage storage service was available at the cloakroom on the 8th floor of the Daimaru Sapporo Store, but this service is no longer available.
If you are staying at a hotel in Sapporo Station or Odori Station, it is recommended that you bring your luggage ahead of time and have it checked in before you check in.
