Coin lockers at JR Sapporo Station cost 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 1,200 yen per use. There are no free places to use them.

The size, fees, and payment methods differ depending on the location.

There are four sizes: small, medium, large, and extra-large, with large sizes available for 600 yen, 700 yen, and 800 yen.

The 600 yen coin-operated lockers are one size smaller than the 700 yen ones, and the 800 yen ones are one size larger than the 700 yen ones.

The 1,200 yen coin locker was huge enough to hold skis and snowboards. This is typical of Sapporo.

If paying in cash, coin lockers are paid for with 100 yen coins.

There are always money-changing machines at each location, so don’t worry.

However, only 1,000-yen bills are accepted, so if you do not have any 1,000-yen bills, go shopping at another store or withdraw 1,000 yen from a convenience store ATM.
