Upopoy is a new facility that opened in 2020.
It has a museum and other facilities where you can learn about Ainu culture.
If you want to take your time to look around, it would be difficult if your luggage is heavy, so using a coin locker is recommended.
Shiraoi Tourist Association Coin Lockers

When you are heading to Upopoy from Shiraoi Station, you will find the Shiraoi Tourist Association on the way.
There are coin lockers on the right side of the entrance.
It is a relatively large coin locker and you can use it for 300 yen. However, please note that it can only be used from 8:00 to 18:00.
Coin lockers are available at the entrance.
There are 20 large coin-operated lockers at the entrance of Upopoy.
They are large enough to accommodate suitcases.
Museum lockers are free.
There are also lockers in the museum in Upopoy.
You can use this one for free, and there are 210 pieces.
