There is also a Kotoni station of the same name on the Sapporo Municipal Subway.
Although they seem to be adjacent to each other, they are surprisingly far apart, so it is a bit difficult to just go to the subway station when the JR side is occupied.
JR Kotoni station and subway Kotoni station are about 10 minutes apart on foot.
