JR Shin-Sapporo Station is one of the main stations where the rapid airport also stops.
Aeon, Sunpiaza, DUO, etc. are directly connected to the station. Sunpiazza Aquarium is also very close by.
You may also want to leave your luggage here, as the Escondido Field Hokkaido shuttle bus will be running from 2023.
If you have trouble carrying large luggage, you can use coin lockers.
Coin lockers at JR Shin-Sapporo Station are located on the left side of the ticket gate.

- 400 yen: 21 pieces
 - 500 yen: 3 pieces
 
Coin-operated lockers at JR Shin-Sapporo Station are located on the left side of the station, a little straight ahead after exiting the ticket gates.
There is a row of coin lockers right in front of the restrooms.
A 500 yen coin locker will hold a small suitcase.
It is also nice that they accept payment with transportation IC cards such as Kitaca.
It is convenient to have an option other than cash and to be able to leave luggage without having to touch the money!
These coin lockers can only be used during KIOSK business hours. You can use them for up to 3 days, but note that you cannot deposit or remove your items at any time.
If you use them for more than 24 hours, you will be charged an additional fee.
Coin lockers are available on the basement floor of Duo
There are also coin lockers in front of the Disaster Prevention Center and restrooms on the first basement floor of Duo 1, which is directly connected to Shin-Sapporo Station.
They are located on both sides of the passageway and are very numerous.

- 100 yen: 16 pieces
 - 300 yen: 4 pieces
 

- 100 yen: 24 pieces
 - 200 yen: 6 pieces
 - 300 yen: 8 pieces
 
300 yen is for a large coin locker, which is cheaper than coin lockers near the station.
Payment is by cash only.
Both can be used from 6:00 to 23:00 on the same day. They cannot be carried over to the next day or later.

There are also coin lockers at Sunpiaza, directly connected to Shin-Sapporo Station.
Both of these lockers can be used as free lockers!
The system is that you spend 100 yen when you deposit your luggage, and the 100 yen is returned when you pick it up.
Next to the escalator on the basement floor

There are coin lockers on the basement floor next to the escalators. It is at the area where many candy stores are located.

Next to the elevator on the 3rd floor

Coin lockers are located on the 3rd floor next to the elevator and in front of the entrance to Game Land.

All of these payment methods are cash only.
Even though it is free, the first 100 yen is required, so have cash ready.
Coin Lockers at AEON Shin Sapporo Store
Coin lockers are also available at the Aeon Shin Sapporo Store. There are coin lockers on the first basement floor, the first floor, and the second floor.

These coin lockers can be used from 8:00 to 22:00 on the same day.

There are also coin lockers near the men’s restroom on the 2nd floor.

Payment is by cash only and is available from 10:00-22:00.

There are also coin lockers at Shin Sapporo Subway Station, so if they are occupied, move around a bit to find them.

No baggage storage area
There is no place for baggage storage at Shin-Sapporo Station.
