Muroran Station is the terminus of the Muroran Branch Line that extends from Higashi Muroran Station on the JR Muroran Main Line.
Muroran, which has long developed as a coal mine and steel mill, has its own gourmet specialties such as “Muroran Curry Ramen” and “Muroran Yakitori (grilled skewers without chicken)”. A five-minute walk from the station brings you to Aji no Daioh Muroran Honten, the original Muroran Curry Ramen store.
There may be a line, so leave your luggage in a coin locker if you plan to eat in Muroran.
