Kitami Station is on the JR Hokkaido Seihoku Main Line, where all trains, including limited express and rapid trains, stop. From the Kitami Bus Terminal adjacent to the station, buses to Memanbetsu Airport, Lake Akan, and Kushiro are available, so you will probably be indebted when traveling in the east of Hokkaido.
In this article, I would like to introduce the coin lockers at Kitami Station.
Coin Lockers at Kitami Station
When you exit the ticket gate, you will see the station entrance in front of you, and coin lockers are located at the exit (left side) toward the bus terminal.
- 400 yen: 16 pieces
- 500 yen: 3 pieces
- 600 yen: 6 pieces
Suitcases can be placed in the 600-yen lockers.
Payment is in coins only; Suica and other transportation IC cards are not accepted.
There are no exchange machines nearby, so be sure to have some coins ready in advance.
Notes on using coin lockers at Kitami Station
Coin-operated lockers at Kitami Station are available for a maximum of 3 days.
A daily fee will be added for every 24 hours of use.
Please note that if you leave your items for more than 4 days, they will be moved to another location and disposed of after 30 days of storage.

Coin lockers are also available in the waiting room of the Kitami Bus Terminal next to Kitami Station.
- 100 yen: 6 pieces
- 200 yen: 4 pieces
Suitcases can be placed in the 200 yen lockers.
Payment is in coins only. There are no money changers nearby, so be sure to have coins ready in advance.
They can be used only on the same day and are open from 6:00 to 23:55.
