Kushiro Station is on the Nemuro Main Line.
Kushiro Station connects Nemuro, Obihiro, and Abashiri by railroad, and from the bus terminal, there are express buses to Tancho Kushiro Airport and Sapporo, and buses to nearby sightseeing spots such as Kushiro City Tancho Tsuru Nature Park and Lake Akan.
When traveling in East Hokkaido, you will probably have many opportunities to use Kushiro Station.
In this article, I will introduce coin lockers at Kushiro Station.
Coin Lockers at Kushiro Station
Kushiro Station has two coin lockers located outside the ticket gates.
Coin-operated lockers located next to the waiting room
As you exit the ticket gate and proceed down the passage on the left, coin lockers are located on the left side of the passage, in front of the waiting room.

- 400 yen: 15 pieces
 - 500 yen: 9 pieces
 - 600 yen: 10 pieces
 
Suitcases can be placed in the 600-yen lockers.
Payment is in coins only; Suica and other transportation IC cards are not accepted.
There are no exchange machines nearby, so be sure to have some coins ready in advance.
Coin-operated lockers located near restroom entrances
From where the first coin locker was, go further down the aisle until you reach the end of the hallway, where you will find the restrooms. Two coin lockers are located around the restroom entrance.


- 400 yen: 12 pieces
 - 500 yen: 9 pieces
 - 600 yen: 7 pieces
 - 700 yen: 2 pieces
 
Suitcases can be placed in the 600-yen and 700-yen lockers.
One unit accepts only coins for payment, but the other accepts transportation system IC cards, coins, and 1,000 yen bills.
Notes on using coin lockers at Kushiro Station
Coin-operated lockers at Kushiro Station can be used for a maximum of three days.
If you use it over the next day beyond the opening hours, you will be charged for the excess days.
