Coin Lockers and Luggage Storage at Higashi-Shinjuku Station

Higashi-Shinjuku Station is a station on the Toei Subway Oedo Line and Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.

The Oedo Line station and the Fukutoshin Line station are connected by an underground passageway, allowing for transfers.

Total of 3 coin lockers at Higashi-Shinjuku Station

There are three coin lockers at Higashi-Shinjuku Station: two outside the station gates for the Toei Subway Oedo Line and one outside the station gates for the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line.

Oedo Line B2F concourse outside ticket gates (toward Exit A1)

Coin-operated lockers are located on the left side of the second basement level ticket gate of Higashi-Shinjuku Station on the Toei Subway Oedo Line, in the passageway leading to Exit A1.

There are also coin lockers in the corridor to the A2 and A3 exits on the opposite side.

There are no large coin lockers here, so large suitcases cannot be placed.

Only 100-yen coins are accepted as payment. There are no exchange machines nearby, so prepare small change in advance or use the coin lockers that accept 1,000-yen bills and transportation system IC cards located by Exit A1 if there is space.

In the elevator corridor outside the ticket gates on the basement 4th floor of the Fukutoshin Line

Coin lockers are also available on the fourth basement floor of Higashi-Shinjuku Station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, in the elevator corridor straight ahead from the wide ticket gates.

Notes on using coin lockers at Higashi-Shinjuku Station

Coin-operated lockers at Higashi-Shinjuku Station are available from the first train to the last train (last train) for both the Toei Subway and Tokyo Metro.

As of June 2023, the first train on the Toei Subway Oedo Line departs at 5:12 a.m. and the last train leaves at 0:30 a.m. The first train on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line leaves at 5:13 a.m. and the last train leaves at 0:22 a.m.

Coin lockers in the Toei Subway can be used for a maximum of three days, and coin lockers in the Tokyo Metro can be used for a maximum of four days, with a one-day charge added after 2:00 a.m.

Please note that lockers will be moved to a different location after the available time and stored for 30 days counting from the day of use, after which they will be disposed of.
