Tokyo Metro Ueno Station is a station on the Ginza and Hibiya Lines in Taito-ku, Tokyo.

It is connected to JR Ueno Station by stairs at Exits 8 and 9 on the Ginza Line side and an escalator between them, to Ueno Park by Exit 7, to Keisei Ueno Station by Exit 6, and to Ameya Yokocho by Exit 5b.
There are a total of 4 coin lockers at Tokyo Metro Ueno Station
All coin lockers at Tokyo Metro Ueno Station are located outside the ticket gates: next to Exit 5b on the Ginza Line side, in front of the station office on the Hibiya Line side, and in front of the ticket gates and on the stairs on the north side of Showa-dori Avenue on the Hibiya Line side.
There are also coin lockers managed by JR East in the nearby underground passage.

 - Medium 500 yen (long and wide): 1 piece (for use with transportation system IC cards only)

There are large coin lockers, so you may be able to put in a large suitcase. Note, however, that the small and the medium-sized white coin lockers are narrower in length than the normal ones.
The brown coin locker on the right is exclusively for transportation system IC cards (except PiTaPa), while the white coin locker on the left accepts transportation system IC cards as well as coins and 1,000 yen bills for payment.
[B]In front of the station office
The station office is located on the Hibiya Line side.
The Ginza Line and Hibiya Line platforms are a short distance apart, so take the passage on the left side of Exit 5a.

There are many large coin lockers here, and the medium-sized 500 yen lockers come in two sizes, so be careful when depositing your items. The small-sized lockers here are the normal size.
Both white and brown coin lockers accept payment in coins as well as 1,000 yen bills and transportation system IC cards except PiTaPa.
[C]In front of the ticket gate on the north side of Showa Street, at the top of the stairs
Continue along the passageway in front of the station office toward Exit 1 and 2, and you will see stairs and an elevator.
Coin lockers are located on the right side of the passageway at the top of the stairs and elevators.

There are also large coin lockers here, although there are not many. The medium-sized lockers are narrower in length and width, so be careful when leaving your luggage in them.

Coin lockers are also located in the ticket gates for JR Ueno Station, which connect to the Ginza Line platform.

Notes on using coin lockers at Tokyo Metro Ueno Station
Coin lockers at Tokyo Metro Ueno Station are available from the first train to the last train.
The lockers can be used for a maximum of four days, and a daily fee will be charged after 2:00 a.m.
Please note that after the fifth day, the lockers will be transferred to the sales office in Kasumigaseki, where they will be stored for 30 days from the date of use before being disposed of.
Nearby coin lockers
If coin lockers at Tokyo Metro Ueno Station are not available, use the coin lockers at JR Ueno Station.
