On this page, I’ll show you information about coin-operated lockers at Beppu Station and whether there is a luggage storage facility.
Coin Lockers at Beppu Station
Coin lockers at Beppu station are located at the east and west exits.
Since this is a large station used for sightseeing, there are many coin lockers.
Coin-operated lockers at the west exit
When you leave the ticket gates of Beppu Station and go to the west exit, you will find a row of coin lockers.
- 600 yen: 40 pieces
- 700 yen: 11 pieces
There are only medium and large coin-operated lockers, so you can see they are for tourists.
Use them if you want to leave your suitcase.
There are two types of coin-operated lockers: one accepts cash only and the other accepts Transportation IC cards.
Coin Lockers at East Exit
If you leave the east exit and go to the side, you will also find many coin lockers.
- 400 yen: 13 pieces
- 600 yen: 21 pieces
- 700 yen: 22 pieces
There are many large coin-operated lockers that can accommodate suitcases.
Both cash-only and Transport IC card compatible coin-operated lockers are available.
Coin-operated lockers located at the back of the East Exit and at Ekimachi 1-chome

- 700 yen: 6 pieces
They have a full range of large coin-operated lockers that can hold suitcases.
Payment is accepted in cash and by Transport IC card.
Notes on using coin lockers at Beppu Station
Coin lockers at Beppu Station can be used from the first train to the last train. You can use them for up to three days.
After midnight, you will be charged for the entire day.
Please note that if you leave your locker for more than 4 days, it will be moved to another location. In this case it will be kept for up to 30 days.
Baggage storage service is also available
Yamato Transport, located in the B-Passage of Beppu Station, also provides luggage storage services. There is also a hand luggage service where you can have it delivered to your accommodation.
Fees and hours of operation are as follows.
