Gotanda Station is located in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, on the JR Yamanote Line, Tokyu Ikegami Line, and Toei Subway Asakusa Line.

Coin lockers are also available at Tokyu Gotanda Station on the 4th floor of Gotanda Tokyu Square.

Only transportation IC cards except PiTaPa are accepted for payment.
Gotanda Tokyu Square has an up-and-down escalator and elevator, so even large luggage can be accessed from outside the ticket gates without any steps.
Concourse outside the ticket gates on the first basement floor of the Toei Subway Gotanda Station (toward Exit A1 and A2)

These coin-operated lockers are located on the westernmost side of the Toei Subway Gotanda Station, in the passageway leading to Exit A1 and A2.
Since most people use Exit A3 to get to JR Gotanda Station, it is a good location because it is less crowded except during morning and evening commuting hours.

There are no large coin lockers, so large suitcases cannot be placed in them.
Payment is in 100-yen coins only. There are no money-changing machines nearby, so be sure to have some change ready beforehand.
The coin lockers at this location are closed at 10:00 p.m. because the A1 and A2 exits are only open from the first train to 10:00 p.m. You will not be able to put them out until the first train the next morning. Be careful when leaving your coins in the lockers, as you will not be able to put them in or out until the first train of the next morning.

Notes on using the Gotanda Station coin lockers
The hours that coin lockers at Gotanda Station can be used from the first train (first train) to the last train (last train), except for the coin lockers located near the A1 and A2 exits of the Gotanda Station on the Toei Subway Line, which are available from the first train to 22:00.
As of June 2023, the first train on the JR Yamanote Line leaves at 4:30 and the last train leaves at 0:55, the first train on the Tokyu Ikegami Line leaves at 5:01 and the last train leaves at 0:33, and the first train on the Toei Subway Asakusa Line leaves at 5:08 and the last train leaves at 0:24.
Note that lockers can be used for a maximum of three days, and a daily fee is charged after 2:00 a.m. After the fourth day, they will be moved to a different location and stored for 30 days from the date of use, after which they will be disposed of.
Coin Lockers near JR Gotanda station
Coin lockers are located on the west side of JR Gotanda Station, straight ahead from Exit A1 of Toei Subway Gotanda Station, in front of a pachinko parlor.

- Large of 600 yen: 2 pieces
There are large coin-operated lockers, so large suitcases may be placed in them.
Payment is in 100-yen coins only. There are no money changers nearby, so be sure to have small change ready beforehand.
They are cheaper than the coin lockers at the station and can be used 24 hours a day.
After midnight, you will be charged for one day’s use, but you can use it for up to five days.
Note that after the sixth day, they will be moved to a different location and stored for 30 days before being disposed of.
