Hikone Station coin lockers and luggage storage

There were no places where luggage storage is available.

Coin Lockers at Hikone Station

There are three coin-operated lockers at Hikone Station.
There are many of them, so it is easy to leave a deposit.

Availability was good when I checked during lunchtime on a weekday.

Leave your luggage at the coin lockers before going to Hikone Castle.
Hikone Castle is not far from the station, but it is easier and less tiring to walk if you are light.

Coin lockers are located on the right as you exit the Hikone Station ticket gates.

  • 300 yen: 27 pieces
  • 400 yen: 25 pieces
  • 600 yen: 7 pieces

Coin-operated lockers are available in all sizes.
If you want to leave your suitcase, use a large coin-operated locker.

Payment is in cash only.
Transportation IC cards such as Suica and ICOCA are not accepted.

Coin Lockers on the Omi Railway side

Go further back from the coin lockers mentioned above and turn the corner towards the Omi Railway and you will find coin lockers..

  • 300 yen: 15 pieces
  • 400 yen: 6 pieces
  • 500 yen: 2 pieces

Large coin lockers are cheaper here.
The width is a little narrower, but if you have a suitcase that fits, this one is 100 yen cheaper.

Payment is by cash only.

Coin Lockers next to Tourist Information Center

Walk out of the Hikone Station ticket office, turn left, and at the end of the hall, down the stairs on the left, you will find the Tourist Information Center.

There are coin-operated lockers to the left of the Tourist Information Center entrance.

  • 500 yen: 16 pieces

Each of these coin-operated lockers is larger in size.
It is easy to leave suitcases.

It is a bit of a hassle to go down the stairs, but if you are okay with that, this is an easy place to leave your luggage and a good deal.

Payment is cash only.

You can use the coin-operated lockers here for up to a week.

Notes on using the coin lockers at Hikone Station

You can use the coin-operated lockers at Hikone Station all day. You can use them for a maximum of three days.

After 2:00 a.m., you will be charged for one day.

Please note that if you leave your belongings for more than 4 days, they will be moved to another location. In this case, they will keep it for up to 30 days.
