Kochi Station is served by JR Shikoku Dosan Line and Tosa Kuroshio Railway’s Gomen-Nahari Line.
There is a bus terminal at the north exit and the Kochi Ekimae stop of the Tosaden Kotsu tram at the south exit.
The tram passes by Kochi Castle, Harimaya Bridge, Hirome Market, and other sightseeing spots around Kochi Station, making it convenient for sightseeing.
It takes about 25 minutes from Kochi Station to Kochi Ryoma Airport by airport bus.
I will now introduce the coin lockers at Kochi Station.
Coin Lockers at Kochi Station
There are two coin lockers outside the ticket gates at Kochi Station.
Next to the ticket gate
There is a space for coin lockers and vending machines on the right side of the ticket gate.
- 400 yen: 25
- 500 yen: 6
- 700 yen: 4 lockers
Suitcases can fit in the 700-yen lockers.
Payment is by coins only; Suica and other transportation IC cards are not accepted.
There are no exchange machines nearby, so be sure to have some coins ready in advance.
Near the entrance to the restrooms at the back of Kiosk Kochi Meihin Kan
Go straight after exiting the ticket gate and you will find “Kiosk Kochi Meihin Kan.” Go further down the aisle and you will find a restroom entrance and coin locker corner at the end of the store.
- 400 yen: 90 lockers
- 500 yen: 18 lockers
- 700 yen: 8 lockers
Suitcases can be stored in the 700-yen lockers.
Only coins are accepted for payment; Suica and other transportation system IC cards are not accepted.
There is a currency exchange machine available, which accepts 1,000-yen bills.
Notes on using coin lockers at Kochi Station
Coin lockers at Kochi Station can be used for a maximum of three days.
After midnight, you will be charged for one day.
Note that if you leave your items for more than 4 days, they will be moved to another location and disposed of after 30 days of storage.
Luggage storage service at Kochi Tourist Information Center Tosaterasu
The Tourist Information Center “Tosaterasu” located at the south exit of Kochi Station offers luggage storage service.
The fee is 500 yen per piece of luggage, and the service is available only between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm on the same day.
Luggage that is perishable, valuable, or fragile cannot be checked in.
