Kokura Station is one of the larger stations where the Shinkansen bullet train stops.
Many people use the station for sightseeing in Mojiko and for transferring to limited express trains.
On this page, I will present information about the coin-operated lockers at Kokura Station.
Coin Lockers at Kokura Station
There are several coin lockers at Kokura Station, one on the Shinkansen side and one on the conventional train side.
I walked around and checked, but there are no coin lockers inside the ticket gates. There are also no free coin lockers.
Coin-operated lockers located to the right just outside the Shinkansen ticket gates.
Coin lockers are located on the right side of the Shinkansen bullet train as soon as you get off at Kokura Station.

- 400 yen: 19 pieces
- 500 yen: 11 pieces
- 700 yen: 3 pieces
These coin-operated lockers were smaller, and there were fewer large coin-operated lockers that could securely hold suitcases.
Both cash and transport IC cards are accepted for payment.
It is convenient to pay with ICOCA, SUGOCA, etc.
Coin Lockers at Shinkansen Exit (North Exit)
After exiting the Shinkansen ticket gate and going down the escalator immediately to the right, go to the right rear and you will find coin-operated lockers.

- 400 yen: 5 pieces
- 600 yen: 5 pieces
- 700 yen: 15 pieces
Most of the large coin-operated lockers here were large enough to accommodate suitcases.
The small coin-operated lockers, on the other hand, are located high up and look difficult to use.
Payment is by cash only, but there is a money changer next to the lockers, so it is easy to use.
Coin lockers near the ticket gates on the first floor of conventional lines
There are two coin-operated lockers located near the first-floor ticket gates of the commuter train.
The first coin box can be seen on the left front side of the first floor ticket booth. It is in front of the stairs.

- 400 yen: 1 piece
- 600 yen: 9 pieces
- 700 yen: 6 pieces
These are convenient coin-operated lockers that are compatible with Transportation IC cards.
Many of the coin-operated lockers are large, so it is easy to leave your suitcase.
▼The other location is just to the left of the first floor ticket booth.
There is a row of coin lockers at the rear of the building.

- 400 yen: 37 pieces
- 600 yen: 27 pieces

There are many medium-sized coin-operated lockers, and they are easy to carry in a smaller suitcase.
Most of the coin-operated lockers are cash-only, but the coin-operated locker on the far left accepts Transportation IC cards; you can also pay with Suica.
Coin Lockers at Monorail Kokura Station
There are many coin lockers around the ticket gates of Monorail Kokura Station.

▼ Coin lockers on the front side are also compatible with transportation IC cards.

▼There were more coin lockers, especially on the back side. I think it is a good spot because of its proximity and the number of them.

- 400 yen: 97 pieces
- 600 yen: 51 pieces
- 700 yen: 4 pieces
- 900 yen: 11 pieces
There are coin-operated lockers of various sizes. The coin-operated locker next to the rear entrance gate is a super extra large one that costs 900 yen.
It is large enough to hold two or more suitcases.
Other than that, most of the coin-operated lockers are small and medium-sized.
Payment is cash only.
Transportation system IC cards like Suica are not accepted.
However, there is a money exchange machine, so it is easy to use even if you do not have enough coins.
