Noboribetsu Station is on the JR Muroran Line. Noboribetsu is famous for Noboribetsu Onsen (Noboribetsu Hot Springs) around Jigokudani (Hell Valley), but it also has a wealth of tourist attractions such as Noboribetsu Bear Farm and Noboribetsu Date Period Village.
You may be surprised to see a castle-like building on your right as you exit the station. This is Noboribetsu Marine Park Nix, a theme park-type aquarium, and it is only a 3-minute walk from the station.
Before you go sightseeing in Noboribetsu, leave your heavy luggage in a coin locker.
Coin Lockers at Noboribetsu Station
Coin lockers at Noboribetsu Station are located in a row on the right side in front of the station as you exit the ticket gate.

- 400 yen: 4 pieces
- 500 yen: 3 pieces
- 600 yen: 24 pieces
Suitcases can be placed in the 600-yen lockers.

Only coins are accepted as payment; Suica and other transportation IC cards are not accepted.
Money-changing machines are located alongside the coin lockers, so 1,000-yen bills can be exchanged.
Notes on using coin lockers at Noboribetsu Station
Coin-operated lockers at Noboribetsu Station can be used for a maximum of three days.
A one-day charge will be added at the end of each business hour.
If you leave your items for more than 4 days, they will be moved to another location and disposed of after 30 days of storage.
