Onuma Koen Station is on the JR Hakodate Line (Komagatake-bound). Komagatake on a clear day from Onuma National Koen is spectacular, and can be enjoyed throughout the year: cycling and sightseeing boats in the warm season, and wakasagi fishing on ice and snowmobiling in the winter.
The Koen is large, so if you have luggage, it is convenient to leave it in a coin locker.

Notes on using coin lockers at Onuma Koen Station
Coin-operated lockers at Onuma Koen Station are available for a maximum of three days.
A one-day charge will be added at the end of each business hour.
If you leave your items for more than 4 days, they will be moved to another location and disposed of after 30 days of storage.
Extra: Coin Lockers at Tourist Information Centers
Exit Onuma Koen Station and walk one minute to the right, and you will find the Tourist Information Center (Onuma International Plaza).
There are 16 small lockers (200 yen) here, and they will also hold large luggage for 300 yen, which is considerably more economical than leaving it at the station.

Extra: Coin lockers for bike rental
If you exit Onuma Koen Station and walk toward the Koen, you will find a bike rental shop, which will take care of the luggage of those who rent bicycles free of charge. If you use a rental bicycle, it is more economical to have it kept here.
