Shin Sapporo Station is a station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tozai Line.
It is the last and first station on the line.
It is also connected to the JR line, making it a convenient station when heading to New Chitose Airport.
There is also a shuttle bus that goes to Escondido Field Hokkaido.
If you have to run errands around Shin Sapporo Station, one option is to use a coin locker if you have trouble carrying your luggage.
Coin-operated lockers near Exit 1

- 300 yen: 8 pieces
 
As you exit the south exit ticket gate of Shin Sapporo Station and head in the direction of Exit 1, you will find eight 300-yen coin lockers.
These are small coin lockers only and do not accommodate suitcases.
They are cash only type.
Fees are added every 12 hours, and you can use them for up to 72 hours.
Coin lockers located in the passage between the North and South Exit ticket gates

- 300 yen: 12 pieces
 - 500 yen: 4 pieces
 
The other coin locker is located between the North and South Exit gates (between Exit 4 and Exit 5).
There are a reasonable number of them here.
The 500 yen coin lockers can accommodate suitcases.
This type does not require a key, and can be operated by touching the screen.
The procedure for using the coin lockers is as follows.
- Insert the luggage
 - Press the lock button on the door
 - Press the locker number you used on the central panel
 - Insert money
 - You will get a receipt.
 - Take the receipt
 
In addition, the fee is added every 12 hours for a maximum of 72 hours.
Notes on using coin lockers at Shin Sapporo Station
Coin lockers at Shin Sapporo Station are paid for in cash only, and transportation system IC cards such as SAPICA and Kitaca are not accepted.
You can use them for a maximum of 72 hours.
